Planning for Changes

Port Colborne General Site

An exciting renovation project is currently being reviewed by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care. At Port Colborne Site, renovations plans have been developed to create a new department for the 24-hour Urgent Care Centre, now located on the lower level. The new location will be on the main floor (1 West).

There are many benefits to this relocation, including more square footage, more natural light and direct access to the main entrance. Of major benefit is that renovations to this vacant area can occur without impacting patient care, since the Urgent Care Centre will continue to treat patients on the lower level during renovations to the main floor. Once Ministry approval is received, renovations are expected to take several months.
